front end features
DESIGN
First Day Story online editions deliver a clean, organized and feature-packed presentation. Users and search engines alike appreciate the intuitive navigation, including intra-section headlines and permanent linkable pages.
Your colors, banner and an archived front page flyout image will unify your cross-media branding.
ACCESS
Online editions provide readers with anytime, anywhere access to your news product.
First Day Story's Above the Fold technology is modeled after real-life news stands, so your users will be exposed to the top few stories, even without logging in. Set the selection, number, order, or duration of stories placed above the fold to continuously offer new value to readers. Selecting a story below the fold will prompt the user to subscribe or log in. Once logged in, your users can access every single story from your current or archived editions.
For publishers using paid or Above the Fold access models, First Day Story provides even more control by deterring user login sharing. Terminating simultaneous login sessions makes it difficult for users to share login information, but still provides convenient access at all times to users with multiple computers (home, office, laptop, etc).
CONTENT
Your online edition can be more than just another distribution channel. It can compliment your print product with rich content not possible in print. Audio slideshows, videos, polls, breaking news alerts, current and forecasted weather, and permanent articles all provide a reason for your readers to visit your online edition.
